Budimex, Polish’s largest general contractor, has started recruiting for the autumn edition of the apprenticeship programme addressed to technical students and vocational schools. The company already cooperates with 57 vocational education schools throughout Poland and systematically increases the number of young people who gain their first professional experience on construction sites and in contract offices. After a record-breaking spring-summer edition, in which 66 students took part, Budimex is inviting more people interested in acquiring practical skills and professional development in the construction industry to join the programme.
For many years, Budimex has been consistently developing an apprenticeship programme addressed to students of technicians and vocational schools studying in construction professions and related fields. Currently, the company cooperates with 57 vocational education schools throughout Poland, enabling young people to acquire practical skills under the supervision of experienced specialists involved in the implementation of the largest infrastructure and cubature investments in the country.
The growing interest in the program is confirmed by the numbers. In the first half of 2026 alone, 66 students of technical schools completed internships at Budimex, while in the same period of 2025 there were 54 of them. The autumn edition will cover several dozen locations throughout Poland, and apprentices will be able to gain experience, among m.in, on the construction of expressways and national roads, railway lines and cubature projects. The internship program has been prepared to enable students to learn about the specifics of work on a modern construction site and gain their first professional experience. It includes familiarization with work on the construction site and in the construction office, participation in trainings and webinars, the opportunity to establish professional contacts, participation in competitions, as well as the prospect of continuing cooperation during paid internships and future employment in the Budimex Group.
” We want to show young people that construction is a modern, innovative and full of opportunities industry, in which you can develop your competences from the first days of your professional career. We believe that this is how we support not only future specialists, but also build long-term relationships based on trust, development and common values ,” says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA. ” At the same time, our internship program is one of the elements of Budimex’s long-term strategy for the development of competencies of future construction staff. In the face of the growing demand for qualified specialists, we consistently invest in vocational education, cooperation with schools and creating development paths for young people starting their careers in the industry – adds Anna Karyś-Sosińska.
An integral part of the internship program is also the scholarship system for the most committed participants. In this year’s spring edition, Budimex awarded the most committed participants three financial distinctions of PLN 500 and three one-off scholarships of PLN 2,000 each.
In the autumn, apprentices will be able to gain experience, m.in, on the construction of the Podłęże-Piekiełko railway lines, the S1, S10, S16 and S19 expressways, the DK13 and DK79 national roads, the Rusinów bypass, as well as on investments carried out in Gdynia, Olecko and other locations throughout Poland. The list of investments is constantly expanding, and each time the company analyses the possibility of finding an apprenticeship place on the contract closest to the place of residence of future apprentices.
