Budimex has signed an agreement with the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. for the implementation of investments of key importance for Polish’s energy security. The contract includes the construction of a modern gas compressor station in Lwówek (Wielkopolska province) and the expansion and modernization of the existing transmission hub. The new infrastructure will make it possible to maintain stable pressure in gas pipelines, ensuring continuity and security of gas supplies to strategic sectors of the national economy.
The investment with a maximum net value of PLN 481.2 million is to be completed within 23 months of signing the agreement. The scope of work includes, among others:
The implementation of the first stage of the construction of the Lwówek Gas Compressor Station is another breakthrough investment of Budimex in the area of gas infrastructure and the fifth joint project with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. In the period 2016 – 2025 , the leader of the Polish construction market was responsible for the construction of:
– DN1000 Strachocina – Polish Border (Poland-Slovakia) gas pipeline with a length of approx. 61 kilometres,
– DN1000 Czeszów – Kiełczów gas pipeline with a length of approx. 32.5 km
– DN1000 Goleniów – Ciecierzyce gas pipeline with a length of approx. 122 km
– DN700 Rembelszczyzna – Mory gas pipeline with a length of approx. 28.5 km
The total value of these projects exceeds PLN 1 billion.
