Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman to build the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin

As part of the contract, Budimex will also modernise the building of the neighbouring Musical Theatre and Philharmonic. Henryk Wieniawski and will arrange the square in front of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures.

The construction of the CSK requires partial demolition of the existing facility (i.e. Theatre under Construction  – an investment started in the 1970s. of the last century and not yet completed) and the construction of the front body of the Centre in this place. The building will have two underground and three above-ground floors of varying heights. A m.in will be built  there. A multifunctional auditorium for 1200 spectators.

The rebuilt zones of the Theatre under Construction will include the Avenue of Cultures and the Chamber Hall.

The usable area of the facility will amount to 23.5 thousand. m.kw.

The modernization will also include the reconstruction of the performance halls of the Musical Theater and the Philharmonic with facilities. The total usable area after the reconstruction will amount to 11.5 thousand. m.kw.

In front of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures, a Theatre Square with an area of 5 thousand will be built. m.kw. with a two-level underground car park for approx. 250 parking spaces.

The complex will be a showcase of Lublin.

The construction and modernization works will be completed on 30 June 2015.
