The official opening of the 9.5 km section takes place on 5 October. The investment will significantly reduce the travel time between the Poznań and Wrocław agglomerations. Drivers will gain two roadways with two lanes each. As part of the works carried out by Budimex, the Leszno Południe road junction was also built at the intersection with provincial road No. 323.
The contractor for the works for the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways was Budimex. The value of the project is PLN 189.1 million. The Leszno Południe – Kaczkowo section is one of five fragments of the S5 expressway under construction in the province of Szczecin. Wielkopolska. This is an investment of strategic importance, because it will allow drivers to travel between Poznań and Wrocław faster and in more comfortable conditions. Two roadways with two lanes each have been put into use.
The scope of work also included the construction of 8 engineering structures: 1 bridge, 6 road viaducts, an upper passage for animals on the S5 and over the E59 railway line, as well as culverts, environmental protection devices and road lighting. The Leszno Południe road junction was also built at the intersection with the provincial road No. 323. The works also included the reconstruction of transverse and access roads and the reconstruction of collisions.

Not only does it connect two large agglomerations, but cars move here between the A2 and the A4 and A8, which is why it was so important to improve traffic on this section. In the province. There are still 4 sections of the S5 to be built: Poznań Głuchowo – Wronczyn (implemented by Toto), Wronczyn – Kościan (Budimex), Kościan – Radomicko (Mota Engil) and Radomicko – Leszno (Mota Engil).
