February 22, 2021 Budimex has signed a contract for the performance of comprehensive construction and installation works related to the construction of the hospital building at ul. Stanisław Staszic in Lublin. The contract is being implemented as part of the “Reconstruction and expansion of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin”, which the general contractor has been carrying out since October 2019. The signed contract, worth over PLN 94 million, is the third stage of works scheduled for May 30, 2022.
The expansion of the Clinical Hospital is one of the largest investments in the area of health care development in Lublin. As part of the contract worth nearly PLN 97 million, implemented since October 2019, Budimex is responsible for the construction of the new G-16 building, including, among m.in, a new operating theatre, A&E, intensive care unit, as well as diagnostic facilities and laboratories. At the end of February, the general contractor signed a contract for the performance of construction and installation works related to the comprehensive finishing and equipment of the facilities. This third stage of activities will last until the end of May 2022.

The new block of the Clinical Hospital will be an extremely modern facility equipped with high-quality equipment, enabling patients to access the best diagnostics – explains Artur Popko, Vice-President of the Management Board of Budimex SA, Chief Operating Officer.
Work on the construction site is not slowing down. Budimex is currently carrying out construction works in the “C” and “B” segments. Segment “C” located from ul. Staszica is made in monolithic, reinforced concrete technology. The general contractor is in the process of constructing the fifth ceiling (out of a total of seven), while in the “B” segment located from Al. Tysiąclecia and made in mixed prefabricated-monolithic technology, work is now underway on level 3 of the ceiling, and there are still 5 ceilings and a helipad slab to be assembled. Budimex is also currently performing water insulation, roofing on the already completed “A” segment, installing window joinery and making external networks. The progress of activities at this stage of reconstruction is approx. 70 per cent.
The expansion of the Clinical Hospital in Lublin is another investment of this type by Budimex. The company’s portfolio also includes m.in projects. the clinical hospital in Białystok, the non-invasive medicine center in Gdańsk, the psychiatric hospital in Ząbki and the Oncology Center of the Lublin Region. The general contractor is also currently completing the expansion of the hospital in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
