Budimex was the only construction company to receive a distinction this year in the “Build Safely” competition organised by the National Labour Inspectorate in Kielce. The award was granted for Budimex’s special care for the safety of the working environment at the construction site of the S-7 Skarżysko-Kamienna expressway.

The award ceremony took place on November 23, 2018. in Kielce. The award for Budimex was received by Piotr Wawrzycki, contract director, accompanied by Jarosław Gajewski and Filip Bąk. The event was attended by m.in. entrepreneurs, employers or representatives of associations and institutions from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

The organizer of the “Build Safely” competition is the National Labor Inspectorate – District Labor Inspectorates. The aim of this initiative is to promote safe and hygienic working conditions on construction sites, including the promotion of contractors of construction works who provide safe workplaces in the construction process and contributes to the overall increase in the level of work safety in the construction industry on a national scale.

We are particularly pleased with the awards in such plebiscites, because they concern not so much the investments themselves, but the people who work on them, and people are always the greatest value for Budimex. As members of the “Agreement for Safety in Construction” initiative, we are constantly working to increase work safety on construction sites, so the award in this category is particularly important to us – says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex S.A.
