Budimex has completed the construction of the Nursing and Care Facility in Ostrołęka

The largest General Contractor in Poland has commissioned the Nursing and Care Facility in Ostrołęka. The modern facility, the construction of which took two years, will start accepting the first children in the coming weeks. The investment will provide the region’s residents with access to professional nursing and rehabilitation care in comfortable conditions. The official opening will take place at the turn of March and April this year.

The Care and Care Facility in Ostrołęka built by Budimex is a single-storey building with a usable area of 2993.60 m² and a volume of 11,375.68 m³. The facility was designed in a form similar to the half of the letter “H” with an internal green courtyard, which allows people benefiting from the care of the center to stay safely and controllably outdoors. The building includes, among others, an entrance area, two residential segments comprising 49 patient rooms with bathrooms, an office part and a rehabilitation ward with kitchen and technical facilities.

The implementation of the investment included not only the execution of construction works, but also the comprehensive turnkey equipment of the facility. During the term of the contract, design changes were introduced along with obtaining a new building permit. As a result of the extension of the scope of work, the value of the contract increased from PLN 21,095,416 gross to PLN 32,148,623.16 gross. The first residents will move into the new building in March 2026, and the grand opening of the facility is scheduled for the turn of March and April.

Our goal was to create a place that would provide the residents with safety, comfort and access to modern medical and rehabilitation care. We are glad that thanks to this investment, the inhabitants of the region will gain a new, well-equipped facility, and medical staff will be able to work in a functional and modern space,” says Andrzej Sadowski, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.

For many years, Budimex has been implementing investments related to health and social care infrastructure in Poland. In recent years, the company has carried out, among others, projects for the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Medical University of Lublin, the Rydygier Regional Hospital in Toruń, and the ongoing reconstruction of the Military Hospital in Krakow, which will modernize the hospital’s base in the region. In Ostrołęka, the company was also the contractor of the Museum of Cursed Soldiers.

The company is also involved in social activities related to health care. For 14 years, Budimex has been implementing the “Parent Zone” initiative, the aim of which is to create friendly spaces for children staying in hospitals and their caregivers. In August 2025, the company opened its 45th annual Sports Hall. Parent Zone, this time in the otolaryngology clinic of the National Institute of Children’s Diseases in Bratislava. The company is one of the largest contractors of infrastructure and cubature investments in Poland, implementing projects of social, economic and communication importance throughout the country.
