The expansion of one of the most popular thermal and recreational facilities in Poland has been completed. Thanks to the investment carried out by Budimex, the Uniejów Thermal Baths complex has gained a new summer recreation zone with numerous attractions for families, children and people looking for active recreation. The official opening of the new part took place on May 16, 2026 during the celebration of the 18th anniversary of Terme Uniejów. The value of the investment amounted to PLN 16.5 million.
The expansion of the Uniejów Thermal Baths complex began in September 2025 and included the construction of a new recreational space with an area of over a hectare. As part of the investment, m.in new water slides, a Flume Ride railway, a water garden in the form of a fun and learning laboratory, an outdoor fitness zone, family relaxation zones and attractions for the youngest guests were created. The project also included the construction of a track for electric mini jeeps, educational spaces and green leisure zones. At its peak, about 70 people worked on the construction site.
The new part of the complex has been designed with a view to strengthening the tourist attractiveness of the region all year round and expanding the offer for families visiting central Poland. The expansion of Terme Uniejów is also important for the local economy, supporting the development of the hotel, catering and service sectors.
“The biggest challenge of this project was a very intensive schedule of works, additionally carried out in difficult winter conditions. The project required excellent organization and coordination of many industries at the same time, including supplies from foreign contractors. One of the most unusual elements were the decorations of the recreational space, m.in. the characteristic tentacles of an octopus, which were also implemented by Budimex. This is an investment different from standard cubature projects – here, aesthetics and creating a unique experience for future users were just as important as technology ,” emphasizes Marcin Kozak, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.
The expansion of Terme Uniejów is another project of Budimex in the sector of modern cubature, tourist and recreational facilities. Previously, the company was also responsible for the construction of the “Termy Uniejów” Aparthotel, commissioned in 2019, and the so-called Thermal Estate in Uniejów, which was implemented in three stages.
The new recreation zone was opened on the 18th birthday of the complex, symbolically starting a new stage in the development of Terme Uniejów as one of the most important centers of family recreation and leisure in central Poland.
