After a comprehensive reconstruction, the leading Polish general contractor commissioned the Dom Technika in Płock. The facility has undergone a thorough modernization, thanks to which it has gained modern technical solutions, improved its energy efficiency and adapted it to modern safety and accessibility standards. Budimex has completed an investment involving the reconstruction of the training and conference building and the development of the surrounding area. Thus, restoring full functionality to one of the most recognizable conference spaces in Płock.

The Technical House, commissioned by Budimex SA, is a two-storey building with a usable area of over 1.5 thousand m² and a volume exceeding 10.7 thousand m³, located on the Vistula escarpment near the centre of Płock. As part of the investment, Budimex SA carried out a comprehensive reconstruction of the building, including the modernisation of all key installations and the adaptation of the facility to modern technical and operational requirements. The scope of works also included the development of the area around the building. Electrical, water and sewage, ventilation, teletechnical and fire protection installations have been replaced. As part of the investment, the facility was also thermally modernized, improving its energy efficiency, and all spaces were adapted to the needs of people
with disabilities.

After the reconstruction, the building offers a modern space intended for the organization of conferences, trainings and industry events. Seven conference rooms have been made available to users, including the main entertainment and conference room that can accommodate up to 300 people. In total, the facility can host about 500 people at the same time. A special element of the investment is the modern multimedia infrastructure of the main conference room, equipped with one of the most advanced audiovisual systems in Poland. Thanks to this, the building is prepared for the organization of conferences, business events, galas and presentations requiring high-quality technical equipment.

The implementation also included the preservation of selected elements of the historical character of the building. One of them is a fragment of the original wall of the former Technician’s House, exposed and illuminated in the zone leading to the director. The facility is complemented by a car park with 60 parking spaces and facilities enabling comprehensive gastronomic service for organized events.

A well-designed and constructed space should serve people for many years, so in this type of investment, care for the functionality and comfort of future users is as important as the quality of the works. The Technical House has regained its potential as a place for meetings, conferences and events, while maintaining the character of the building, with which the inhabitants of Płock have identified for years. We are glad that we could participate in the implementation of a project that combines respect for existing architecture with solutions that meet contemporary needsGrzegorz Kozubski, Contract Manager at Budimex.

The reconstruction and modernisation of the Technician’s House is another project of Budimex in the building construction sector, which includes modern public, educational, medical and conference facilities. Thanks to the comprehensive reconstruction, the Płock facility is once again becoming an important place for organizing business, training and social events, combining a long-standing tradition with solutions corresponding to the standards of the 21st century.
