Budimex has completed the renovation of the main runway at the Airport. F. Chopin 2 weeks ahead of time

The runway was put into service on August 15. Faster completion of the works also means the end of nuisance related to temporary air traffic for the residents of the Ursus and Ursynów districts.
5 April 2013 Budimex has signed a contract for the expansion of the take-off area at Warsaw Airport um. Fryderyk Chopin with the “Polish Airports” State Enterprise. The scope of work includes the complete demolition of two aprons (No. 2 and 4) along with the taxiway and technical roads, the extension of the existing apron (No. 6), the reconstruction of the runway and the construction of a new apron and apron taxiways. Complete underground and above-ground infrastructure, new technical roads and service areas to service the rebuilt manoeuvring area will also be built.
Thanks to the reconstruction, the airport will gain an additional stand for de-icing aircraft and new parking spaces.

The contract value is PLN 106.9 million net. The works began on 22 April 2013. and according to the schedule, they will end after 16 months.
