On 21 October 2015, Budimex signed a contract with Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen for the construction of a complete and modern multi-chamber reactor installation for the decarbonisation process, together with infrastructure in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) formula.
The contract has a net value of PLN 27.5 million. Budimex has time until the end of 2016 to implement it.
Energy and industrial construction is one of the strategic directions of Budimex’s development. Currently, the company is executing contracts with a total value of over PLN 800 million for PGE Group, EDF Group, PGNiG Group and public customers.
In December 2014, Budimex signed a contract for the design and construction of a new peak-load boiler house at the CHP plant in Gdynia. In Turów, in a consortium with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH and Tecnicas Reunidas SA, the company is building a new power unit. At the Siekierki CHP Plant, in a consortium with Andritz Energy & Environment GmbH, Budimex is installing and modernising a flue gas denitrification and desulphurisation installation. The company has built the Municipal Waste Disposal Plant in Białystok and is launching this facility. Other completed investments are waste disposal and sorting plants in Ostrów Wielkopolski and Biechów.
