The “Builder” magazine has announced the list of the best companies awarded in the jubilee, XX edition of the Builder Awards. Among the awardees was Budimex, which won the title of Construction Company of the Year 2022 in the General Contractor category. In addition, the President of the Management Board, Artur Popko, was awarded in the Industry Personality 2022 category.
Every year, “Builder” awards construction companies for their dynamic development and developed position on the construction market, as well as for special achievements against the industry and competition. The magazine also appreciates the heads of companies. They are awarded the Personality of the Year for effective management, effective expansion of the company’s potential and competitive advantage, as well as for entrepreneurship and business intuition and support for initiatives important for the development of the industry.
“On behalf of all employees, I would like to thank you very much for the title of Construction Company of the Year for Budimex. I am glad that our work has been noticed and appreciated in such a way. I would also like to thank our many colleagues, partners and contractors who contribute to our success. Last year, despite difficult market conditions, we managed to improve our financial results. Our order book also increased. Thanks to this, we can develop and engage in new ventures. We focus on business diversification while supporting the energy transition. We are looking for innovations and technologies that will increase the environmental neutrality and efficiency of our construction processes. In addition, we invest in renewable energy sources: wind farms and photovoltaic installations, as well as green transport. In addition, we are consistently building our position in neighboring countries. On the Slovak market, we have started the implementation of a contract for the construction of the D1 Bratislava-Triblavina motorway worth EUR 111 million. On the other hand, our German company, Budimex Bau, acquired in 2022 construction projects worth over PLN 70 million ,” says Artur Popko, President of Budimex SA.
This is yet another award for Budimex this year. In February, the company was awarded during the WNP Awards gala. These awards are granted by the editors of the WNP.PL portal and the “Nowy Przemysł” Economic Magazine.

As a general contractor, it offers services in the following infrastructure sectors: road, rail, airport, cubature, energy, industrial and ecological construction. In addition, through its subsidiaries, it has a comprehensive offer in the field of facility operation and waste management. Budimex is also gradually developing its operations on foreign markets – in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The Builder Awards have been awarded for twenty years by the editors and Scientific Council of the “Builder” monthly. The awards honour companies and people who play an important role in Polish construction, architecture and education.
