The Budimex Group is strengthening its position as one of the largest employers in the Polish construction industry. A total of 7.6 thousand people are employed in the Group’s companies, and since 2021 the company has allocated a total of over PLN 6 billion for salaries.
Since 2021, the Budimex Group has hired a total of 6.2 thousand new employees, and annual salary costs amount to approximately PLN 1.2 billion. In total, over the last four years, the company has allocated about PLN 6 billion to the salaries of its employees and associates, which confirms the scale of investments in human capital. By the end of 2026, Budimex plans to further develop and recruit about 1,000 positions (new jobs and employee turnover), mainly in engineering, execution and specialist areas in the energy and railway sectors.
” One of the foundations of the Budimex Group are competent employees and leaders who form sustainable and committed teams. We focus on stable employment, competitive salaries and development opportunities ,” says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA – Director of the Human Resources Management Division.
In accordance with the ESG Strategy and the sustainable development policy, Budimex has a consistent remuneration policy and a talent development support programme. The Budimex Group has remuneration and bonus regulations in place, as well as a wide range of benefits, and HR activities are integrated with health and safety, human rights and compliance policies. The company works for equal opportunities in access to recruitment, promotions, training and benefits. The gender pay gap at Budimex remains at around 3%, which is significantly lower than the average indicators in Poland and the European Union.
” Our ambition is to create a better quality of life for future generations – both through investments and employment standards. We make sure that the level of remuneration at Budimex is determined by competence, responsibility and work results, and not by gender or other characteristics unrelated to the profession. The low wage gap is an important indicator for us that we are going in the right direction ,” emphasizes Anna Karyś-Sosińska.
Budimex is also consistently developing cooperation with universities, strengthening the bridge between education and the labour market. The latest agreements signed with Polish technical universities and technicians include, m.in, internship and internship programs, joint research and development projects, classes conducted by practitioners from Budimex and support for didactic programs. Thanks to this, students
and students can gain experience on large infrastructure projects.
An important pillar of Budimex’s responsibility is also its contribution to public finances. Budimex SA, as a Polish company with its headquarters and main operations in Poland, employing thousands of employees in the country, has been one of the largest corporate income tax payers in the construction industry for years.
” Poland is a place where we build, employ and pay taxes. Budimex’s role goes beyond the execution of contracts – as a leader in the construction industry, we are a real partner in the development of the Polish economy ,” adds Artur Popko, President of the Management Board of Budimex SA.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, over the last ten years, Budimex has paid over PLN 1.5 billion in CIT to the state budget, of which PLN 285 million was in 2023 alone. For this contribution to the development of the economy, the company was awarded by the Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański with the title of the Largest CIT Payer in the Polish construction sector.
