Budimex recognised for its sustainable development

On 21 September, Budimex was awarded the Award of the Year of the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs – Leader of Sustainable Development. The award was received on behalf of the company by Artur Popko – President of Budimex SA.

The award was granted for Budimex’s activities in the field of environmental protection, circular economy, low-emission and social activities. The President of Budimex paid special attention to the social aspect in the acknowledgements.

We counteract irregularities in relations with other entities: subcontractors and contractors. In the opinion polls of over 300 construction subcontractors in 2022, we were again indicated as the most reliable contractor among all general contractors in Poland – said Artur Popko – President of Budimex during the award ceremony.  Thank you for noticing Budimex’s efforts put into a sustainable policy in the field of business, the environment, cooperation with local communities – this is a very wide spectrum of activities and responsibilities –  commented Artur Popko – President of Budimex SA on the award from FPP.

Particularly important for the Budimex Group are ESG issues related to its own staff, including: health and safety, education and development opportunities, and ethics. According to experts, these issues have been addressed at a high level for many years.  In the environmental area, many processes are carried out at the following levels: emission reduction, RES, circular economy and transport. Budimex conducts long-term projects to support, m.in, residents of communities adjacent to the construction sites carried out by the company. – Budimex’s flagship initiatives include, m.in, the Parent Zone, under which it creates spaces for the youngest patients and their parents in children’s hospital wards, Hello ICE, which aims to improve the safety of children on the roads, or Budimex for Nature, focused on pro-ecological activities.

The Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs is one of the three largest economic self-government organizations – a member of the Social Dialogue Council. The Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs is a representative organization associating entrepreneurs, a member of the Social Dialogue Council, whose overarching goal is to ensure proper development and safety of the most important entities on the Polish labor market – employers and employees.
