At the construction site of the so-called Yesterday, a “symbolic shovel” was driven into the Łańcut bypass. The contractor for the works is Budimex S.A. The contract for the amount of PLN 115,847,768.51 gross was signed on 18 May 2018. The completion of the investment is scheduled for September 2021.
The extension of national road No. 94 is being carried out in the “optimize-design-build” system. The contractor designed and obtained the decisions required by law. Currently, the Podkarpackie Voivode is conducting the procedure of the amendment issued in 2010. ZRID decision, which is planned to be obtained at the end of October this year. After obtaining the decision, the Contractor will commence the road works in full. “We are currently carrying out preparatory works based on the current decision on the permit for the implementation of the investment to the extent feasible, so that after receiving the amendment to the ZRID decision, we can perform as much work as possible before the winter period,” said Jarosław Jochymek, Contract Director, Budimex S.A.
The contractor is now focusing mainly on the section of DK94 in Głuchów, where the following is ongoing:
>> removal of trees and shrubs with tidying up the area,
>> removing the layer of humus,
>> demolition of the surface,
>> preparation of the area for the implementation of detours,
>> sapper, environmental and archaeological reconnaissance,
>> preparation of access roads to the planned bridge structure,
>> inventories of buildings, roads and areas for the planned gas pipeline,
>> preparation of areas for the storage of materials.
Scope of works
As part of the task, it is planned to leave the cross-section of the national road as a single-carriageway, two-lane (one lane in each direction), with a lane excluded from traffic with a protective barrier, over a length of 5.82 km. The works will consist in replacing the road structure and, where necessary, widening the road body. The works will be carried out while maintaining the continuity of two-way traffic on DK94.
The scope of works also includes the reconstruction of single-level intersections – 5 roundabouts at the intersection of DK 94 with: DW 877, DW 881, ul. Graniczna Street (connector to the A4 motorway), ul. Kościuszki and DP 1520R and the ordinary intersection with ul. Piłsudski. The contractor will also build a road bridge over the Sawa River with a length of 100 km. 33 m, access roads and will rebuild and build technical infrastructure equipment:
>> water, sewage and gas networks, including the reconstruction of the DN400 high-pressure gas network to the length of 6 km,
>> power and telecommunication networks, service duct, lighting,
>> traffic safety devices, noise barriers, vertical and horizontal markings.
Bearing in mind the safety of road users, especially the least protected ones, i.e. pedestrians and cyclists, it is assumed that sidewalks and pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as bus bays will be built.
As part of the design work, the Contractor proposed new solutions, to which applications from local authorities were submitted. GDDKiA, in order to meet the submitted demands, to a large extent took them into account in the replacement construction project.
Examples of changes introduced on the basis of the demands of local governments:
>> the entrance and exit from the areas of: MOSiR, District Hospital, Education Center and Technical School Complex to DK94 to right-turn with the possibility of making a left-turn maneuver has been designed,
>> new bus bays have been designed or the location of existing ones has been changed,
>> new pedestrian crossings have been designed or their location has been changed,
>> a direct connection to DK94 m.in was designed. hive. Bema and ul. Orzeszkowa,
>> a direct connection of the additional roadway to the roundabout in Głuchów was designed due to the location of the Cultural Center and the Voluntary Fire Brigade.
