Works on the S7 expressway on the section from Skarżysko-Kamienna to the border of the Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie voivodeships are progressing according to schedule. Budimex has already completed most of the works on the route, which is to be put into service in May 2020. However, road workers do not rule out that we will use the bypass this year.
The investment carried out by Budimex includes not only a 7.6 km section of the S7 route, but also 14 km of service and access roads. In addition, the bypass is to consist of 10 bridges and 5 culverts. Construction work began in October 2017. ” As of today, all excavations in the main section have been completed. We have already completed over 1,000,000 m³ of embankments, which is about 95% of the total planned works in this area. Currently, works related to the construction of the roadway structure of the main route are underway. We are also preparing to start finishing works, including humus, erecting noise barriers and road barriers – says Artur Popko, Vice-President of the Management Board of Budimex SA, Chief Operating Officer. The contractor maintains the Temporary Traffic Organization at the beginning of the designed section, from the side of Warsaw, and at the end, from the side of Kielce. At the turn of August and September, traffic will be rescheduled, which will allow the section to be connected to the expressway from Radom. Progress on all fronts From the start of the works to this day, Budimex has managed to complete most of the industry works. The completion of the investment will allow the closure of the S7 expressway from Grójec to the border with the Małopolskie Voivodeship, i.e. on a section of approx. 200 km, while bypassing Skarżysko Kamienna. This will reduce travel time and improve traffic safety
