On 16 October 2014, a consortium of Budimex (leader, 95 per cent) and Ferrovial Agroman signed a contract with the Kielce branch of GDDKiA for the construction of the S7 expressway from Jędrzejów to the border of the Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie voivodeships. The contract has a net value of PLN 283.4 million.

As part of the investment, a 20-kilometre section of a dual carriageway expressway with four road junctions will be built:

  • Piaski – at the intersection with the national road No. 78 in Jędrzejów
  • Łączyn – enabling access to the center of Jędrzejów
  • Mierzawa – at the intersection with the county road in Mierzawa
  • Wodzisław – at the intersection with district roads in Wodzisław

The scope of work also includes the construction of viaducts, bridges, footbridges, an underground pedestrian passage, animal crossings, as well as the construction and reconstruction of local and access roads.

Budimex will have 22 months from the date of signing the contract to implement the investment. Winter periods – from 15 December to 15 March – will not be included in the implementation time.
