Budimex to build Environmental Research Centre in Olsztyn

Budimex has signed a contract for the construction of the Centre for Environmental Research and Innovative Food Technologies for the Quality of Life of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn.

The project will be implemented in the “design and build” formula. The planned start of construction works is scheduled for the end of this year. The new headquarters will be built in the immediate vicinity of the Olsztyn Science and Technology Park. Its general contractor was also Budimex.

As part of the new investment, a  laboratory and administration building with an animal house will be built. The concept provides for a several-storey laboratory and office building with technical rooms connected to a one-storey animal house. The building was designed on a rectangular plan with narrowings in the central part. A post-and-beam structure erected on ceilings and benches was adopted.  The investment will also include the external area: access roads, parking lots, a roofed shelter for bicycles and green areas.

Investment value:  PLN 75,269,850.00 gross

Usable area: 7520 m2

Cubic volume: 24,000.00 m3
