PGNiG Termika SA has awarded a tender for the supply and installation of a flue gas denitrification system and modernisation of the flue gas desulphurisation installation for the K2 boiler at the Siekierki CHP Plant. The lowest bid was submitted by a consortium of Andritz Energy & Environment GmbH (leader, 49 per cent) and Budimex SA (partner, 51 per cent). The net value of the offering is PLN 62.9 million. The investor has planned two years for the implementation of this task.

This is another energy contract of Budimex this year. In July, the company signed a contract for the construction of a new power unit with a net electrical capacity of 450 MWe (megawatt of electrical capacity) at the Turów power plant. The investment worth PLN 3 billion 250 million net is being carried out by Budimex in a consortium with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH (consortium leader with 55.38% shares) and Tecnicas Reunidas SA (consortium partner with 22.31% shares).

The company is interested in the implementation of further energy contracts. It carefully analyzes planned investments and participates in tender procedures in the field of energy. Therefore, Budimex also plans to increase the employment of specialists in the energy sector.
