Budimex will build a 15-kilometre section of the S5

27 May this year GDDKiA has announced the selection of the offer of the consortium of Budimex (leader, 50 percent shares) and Heilit + Woerner Sp. z o.o. for the design and construction of a 15-kilometre section of the S5 expressway from the Korzeńsko junction towards Wrocław.

The contract value is PLN 468.5 million net.

The scope of work includes the construction of:

• a 15-kilometer section of the expressway,
• two road junctions,
• Rest areas
• 11 bridges along the S5 expressway,
• 3 viaducts over the expressway and the E59 railway line along local roads,
• internal roads,
• safety and environmental protection devices (acoustic screens, ecological screens, anti-glare screens, grommets with a 
  and the reconstruction of existing roads and planting greenery.

The consortium will have 2.5 years from the signing of the contract to implement the investment, excluding winter periods (from 15 December to 15 March).
