Budimex will build a ferry berth in Świnoujście

The contract has a net value of PLN 68.5 million.

As part of the contract, Budimex will build:

• ferry stand No. 1 on the eastern bank of the Świna River, in the southern part of the ferry terminal,
• quay for mooring and servicing ferries,
• passenger gallery,
• passenger bridge connecting the gallery with the ferry,
• a car flyover with a movable side platform,
• movable stern and bow platform,
• control room supporting the operation of the ramp,

The contractor’s tasks also include the development of road infrastructure, parking lots, maneuvering areas, as well as the construction of water and sewage, electricity and teletechnical networks.

The completion of the works is scheduled for the end of November 2014.

This is another contract of Budimex in the field of hydrotechnical infrastructure. Currently, the company is implementing 10 construction projects of this type with a total net value exceeding PLN 250 million, including, m.in:

• strengthening of the sea shore in Darłowo,
• reconstruction of the quay in the port of Szczecin,
• construction of a water reservoir in Rydzyna,
• reconstruction of the weir on the San River in Przemyśl.
