The Kielce branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways has signed a contract with Budimex for a nearly eight-kilometre section of the S7 from Skarżysko-Kamienna to the border of the voivodeship.
The 7.6 km long section will connect the nearly 50-kilometre existing section of the S7 expressway from Skarżysko through Kielce to Chęciny with the section of the S7 route Radom – the border of the Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeships, which was opened this year. Thanks to this investment, road No. 7 in the Świętokrzyskie region will have full parameters of the expressway along its entire length.
The contracted section of the S7 expressway from Skarżysko-Kamienna to the border of the Świętokrzyskie and Mazowieckie Voivodeships will run on the western side of the existing road No. 7. In the initial and final part of the investment, two junctions are planned: Skarżysko Centrum and Skarżysko Północ. The investment will also include 4 viaducts, 2 bridges, 2 utility crossings, animal crossings and access roads.
On 23 September, the consortium of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman commissioned a 20-kilometre section of the S7 running from Jędrzejów to the border of the Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie voivodeships.
