On 19 October, a contract was signed between Gaz System SA and Budimex S.A. for the general implementation of the investment project “Construction of the Goleniów – Lwówek gas pipeline” including: Stage I – Goleniów – Ciecierzyce gas pipeline. The construction of the gas pipeline is directly related to the implementation of the Baltic Pipe project in its onshore part in Polish.
The construction is carried out in the “build” formula. As part of this investment, m.in will be built. new gas pipelines and accompanying infrastructure. The Goleniów – Lwówek gas pipeline will be implemented in two stages:
- Stage I: A section of the Goleniów-Ciecierzyce gas pipeline with a length of approx. 122 km,
- Stage II: A section of the Ciecierzyce-Lwówek gas pipeline with a length of approx. 69 km.
As part of the investment, Budimex S.A. will carry out the construction of the Goleniów-Ciecierzyce Stage I gas pipeline with a length of approx. 121.375 km in two voivodeships: Zachodniopomorskie and Lubuskie.
This is a special contract for Budimex due to the length of the section under construction and the need to maintain a very high quality of work for gas pipelines with such parameters. In 2018, we completed a faultless and timely completed section of the Czeszów – Kiełczów gas pipeline. This investment will include trenchless works in HDD, direct pipe and microtunneling technology, which is the most environmentally friendly and faster implementation. The deadline is very ambitious and demanding for the contractor. As always, we will do everything to complete this construction contract on time with the same success – says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex SA.
The scope of the investment includes, among others:
- construction of the line part of the gas pipeline with a diameter of DN1000 MOP 8.4 MPa on the section from the Goleniów compressor station to the Ciecierzyce lock station,
- reconstruction of the Goleniów Gas Compressor Station including: Goleniów-Płoty, DN 500 MOP 6.3MPa Odolanów-Police, DN700 MOP 8.4MPa Szczecin-Lwówek;
- construction of a linear shut-off and relief unit ZZU Kolonia Kiczarowo with bypass systems
- construction of linear shut-off and relief systems, ZZU Przywodzie and ZZU Buszów, together with bypass systems equipped with collectors enabling the connection of new stations/consumers, power connections, I&C and telemetry installations and other infrastructure;
- construction of an active gas pipeline corrosion protection system
- gasification and commissioning of the gas pipeline.
The total amount of the investment amounts to: PLN 314,800,000.00 net
Date of commencement of works: 19.10.2020
Completion date: 30.11.2022
Warranty period: 36 months.
