Budimex will expand the container terminal in the port of Gdynia

On 11 August 2014, a consortium of Budimex (leader, 95 per cent) and Ferrovial Agroman signed a contract with Gdynia Container Terminal for the construction of the 3. construction stage of the GCT container terminal in the Port of Gdynia. The net value of the contract is PLN 39.8 million. The scope of contract work includes:

• demolition of existing surfaces,
• construction of storage and manoeuvring yards,
• expansion of railway tracks and the gantry unit,
• widening of the access road to the terminal,
• reconstruction of the power, heating and water and sewage networks,
• construction of a manoeuvring yard with a steel shelter and a steel structure of measuring devices,
• Manufacture of truck scales and platform scales.

The investment is to be completed within 14 months.
