Budimex will expand the take-off area at Warsaw Chopin Airport

The scope of contract works includes the complete demolition of two aprons (No. 2 and 4) along with the taxiway and technical roads, the extension of the existing apron (No. 6) and the construction of a new apron and apron taxiways.
Complete underground and above-ground infrastructure, new technical roads and service areas to service the rebuilt manoeuvring area will also be built.
Thanks to the reconstruction, the airport will gain an additional stand for de-icing aircraft and new parking spaces.
The works will begin on 22 April 2013 and will be completed after 16 months.
