Budimex has signed a contract for the construction of the fourth stage of the Drezdenko Bypass. The gross value of the contract amounts to PLN 108.5 million. In total, the route of the new section will be 3.56 km.In addition to the road, the works also include the construction of a 345-meter bridge over the Noteć River valley and the Stara Noteć River, as well as a viaduct over the railway line. The investment has been designed to relieve the residents of Drezdenko from intensive heavy traffic as much as possible, taking into account all social and environmental standards. The works will begin at the turn of the first and second quarter of 2024.
According to the contract, the contractor has 34 months to complete the investment. As part of the task, 4 farm crossings and 5 animal crossings will be built, as well as a special fence to prevent animals from entering the bypass.
– The completion of the fourth stage is important for the local community, as it will allow a significant part of the traffic, in particular trucks, to be moved out of the very center of Drezdenko, which will certainly translate into greater comfort and safety of moving around the city. During the implementation of the contract, we intend to cooperate with local entrepreneurs as much as possible and rely primarily on local materials and products – says Sławomir Krekora, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.
The fourth stage of the construction of the Drezdenko Bypass is a continuation of the activities undertaken in previous years. The investment, according to the project, is inaugurated by the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of provincial roads No. 156 and 160, and then the route runs along a single-span viaduct over the railway line and a 345-meter flyover over the valley of the Noteć and Stara Noteć rivers, ending the section at the roundabout built at an earlier stage. The entire road will be equipped with curbs with lighting at all intersections and bridges, along with access roads to them.
In total, 700,000 Mg of sand, 16,500 Mg of mineral-aslphat mixtures and 30,000 Mg of all concrete and stabilization are planned to be used during construction.
Budimex is an experienced contractor of bypasses, actively involved in the implementation of the 100 bypasses construction programme. He is directly responsible for the construction of the Suwałki, Oleśnica, Sztabin bypass, as well as the construction of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass, known as the “queen of Polish bypasses”.
