Budimex won the Golden CSR Leaf of Polityka, which is the highest possible distinction in this ranking. This is the most prestigious and valuable CSR award on the market, which this year was received by only fourteen companies, including: PKN Orlen, Santander, Millenium, Polpharma, Tauron Polska and Energia SA.
– Responsibility and commitment are a natural part of our philosophy of operating on the market. As a general contractor, we meet deadlines and obligations to our investors. We run large and long-term social programs: Parent Zone and Hello ICE, which have already benefited over 0.5 million children – says Cezary Mączka – Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA, who is responsible for CSR activities in the company.
Every year, the weekly POLITYKA, in cooperation with the consulting company Deloitte and the Responsible Business Forum, prepare a list of POLITYKA’s Golden, Silver and White CSR Leaves.
The Golden CSR Leaf of POLITYKA is awarded to companies for which the implementation of the guidelines contained in the ISO 26000 standard is a key element of strategic activities in business and in relations with stakeholders, including employees. Companies base their activities on the best local and global management practices and apply international standards. In addition, an important element of their management of ESG factors is a comprehensive ethics management system and a written and public document that defines the rules of conduct in business activities and the highest standards of personnel management. ” We regularly inform about the effects of our activities in non-financial or integrated reports prepared on the basis of international standards, which are subject to external independent verification,” adds Cezary Mączka.
Budimex also advanced in other rankings of CSR companies. In the ranking of responsible companies (Dziennik Gazeta Prawna), it was ranked 6th. Moving up 12 places compared to last year, when it took 18th. place.
