Change in traffic organization on the Nowe Marzy – Dworzysko section on the S5 route – update

The change in traffic organization on the S5 route at the Nowe Marzy road junction, originally planned for August 17, has been postponed to next week. The exact date is still being determined.

Detour traffic will be carried out on a 1.2 km long section of the DS4 road after the exit from the A1 motorway towards Grudziądz. The alternative route will be in force until the completion of works planned for May 2021.

In turn, on 19 August, Budimex redirected traffic from the entry and exit slip roads from Świecie towards Bydgoszcz and Gdańsk to the temporary roundabout in Morsko.

The construction of a 23.3 km section of the S5 Nowe Marzy – Bydgoszcz expressway (border of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodeships) is being carried out by Budimex on behalf of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. Under the contract, on the Nowe Marzy – Świecie Południe (Dworzysko) section, the general contractor is responsible m.in. for the construction of 5 junctions: Nowe Marzy, Sartowice, Świecie Północ, Świecie Zachód, Świecie Południe. Ultimately, the S5 expressway is to connect the agglomerations of Wrocław, Poznań, Bydgoszcz and indirectly also Gdańsk.
