August 9, 2022 Budimex has signed a contract with the Municipality of Ziębice for the construction of a sports and entertainment hall in Ziębice. The investment is to enable sports games in such disciplines as volleyball, basketball and handball. In addition, the hall will be used for training purposes, as well as for the organization of concerts and other artistic events.
Representatives of local authorities, coaches, sports activists and school principals were invited to the ceremony of signing the agreement. On behalf of the municipality, the agreement was signed by the mayor Mariusz Szpilarewicz and the treasurer of the municipality Maria Grzesik. The general contractor was represented by Andrzej Schmalenberg, Director of the Budimex SA Branch, Szymon Cienciała, Director of the Budimex SA Region and Wojciech Lesisz, Commercial Director of Budimex SA – Southern Branch.
– This investment has been talked about for over 20 years. Teachers, social activists, coaches, parents and councillors cited many arguments for the construction of this facility. The hall is needed primarily for physical education classes for children and young people, taking care of their development and health. It is also certainly an important argument when choosing a school and a basis for talent development. Along with the commissioning of the facility, there will be many additional offers for young people to spend their free time. It will also be an important factor bonding the community of the commune and a meeting place enabling many activities, not only sports, but also social and economic – said the mayor of Ziębice, Mariusz Szpilarewicz.
– Entrusting such an important project to the region is a great mobilization for us. As the largest construction company in Poland, we will construct a facility of the highest standards, which will serve the local community as part of building development for the entire Municipality – said Andrzej Schmalenberg, Director of the Budimex SA Branch.
