Budimex has joined forces with other companies in Poland to build, equip and hand over a house to Magda’s family of sixteen people in need from Radomsko. A gesture of the heart.
Budimex united with other companies for a noble cause and decided to build a #DomZSerca for one of the families in need. The new home will be a living space where children will have the right conditions to learn and develop their talents.
Magda will live in a one-storey house with an area of over 200 m2 next spring. She will move from her current 2-room apartment to a 9-room house with two bathrooms, two dressing rooms and eight rooms for children, the youngest of whom is 4 years old. The house will be equipped on a turnkey basis thanks to the involvement of partners: OBI, AkzoNobel, BlackRedWhite, Candellux Lighting, Dyckerhoff Polska, .mdd, RedNet Property, RTV EURO AGD. Communication support for the campaign is provided by Synertime, Komunikacja Plus and Procontent.
The impulse to organize the action was the difficult story of Magda and her family. At the beginning of the year, the media became interested in their fate, because the court was to decide to deprive the mother of the right to custody of eleven minor children. This decision was to be made due to difficult living conditions. Magda’s dream was to provide her children with a solid, safe home full of warmth and love. The current place of residence does not create such opportunities. Thanks to the willingness to help and the commitment of several companies, Magda’s dream will soon come true. As part of the #DomZSerca campaign, a new house for the family will soon be built near Radomsko. This project – a gesture of the heart – aims to help a family in a difficult situation. At the same time, he draws attention to the situation of large families in Poland and encourages the initiation of similar aid activities aimed at those in need.
About 500 thousand people currently live in Poland. large families, i.e. those with a minimum of three children. These families often face a number of complex challenges – they struggle with financial, housing and often social problems. According to the data of the Association of Large Families “Three Plus”, on average one third of the household budget is spent on food, the rest is consumed by costs related to school (27 per cent), additional activities for children (26 per cent), costs related to nursery and kindergarten (19 per cent) and transport (15 per cent). For these reasons, the income of half of the large families in Poland does not allow them to meet their current needs, let alone build or renovate a house. According to the Central Statistical Office, these families experience the greatest difficulties in providing good housing conditions, the problems deepen with the increase in the number of children.
– Always after each construction that we carry out, we leave behind something durable and good for the people and communities who live in its vicinity. The hardship and history of Magda and her family, when we found out about her, was an impulse for us to leave this good trace in this place. Together with the partners of this event, we have been working on the necessary design and permits for the last six months. Thanks to the work of many people, we have reached the stage that allows us to start construction. A new house for Magda will be built at a very fast pace. The construction of the house will be ready in December. Finishing and furnishing will take another two months. We want you to be able to celebrate Easter – with their children – to spend at the new address – says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex SA.
The inauguration of the #DomZSerca campaign took place on October 29. The opening symbolized one of the most important moments on the construction site – pouring the foundations for the house of a large family from the vicinity of Radomsko. The main message that follows this gesture of solidarity of companies is to emphasize the desire to help others, which is particularly important these days.
– What is unique about this project is that many companies and organizations have been involved in it. This shows that in situations where help is needed, people can unite and act together. .mdd has been involved in CSR activities on many occasions. We have equipped many local institutions with our furniture, such as orphanages, the building of the Voluntary Fire Service and even a hospital. – Participation in the project was #DomZSerca instantaneous, we immediately knew that we wanted to take part in this joint initiative. Thanks to this project, we have a real impact on improving the fate of the other person, the fate of Magda and her children. Helping others gives us not only satisfaction because of a job well done, but also the awareness of the real impact on improving the fate of another person. – Our answer to the question about participation in this program was immediate – yes! First of all, because this program is very much in line with our involvement in social projects. Adding color is more to us than painting a wall. We want our help to make other people’s lives more positive and inspiring, as it was in many institutions or towns we painted. After learning about the family’s history, we had no doubts and decided to join the group of companies that joined forces to give them a safe home. We are glad that for the purposes of this project we will have the opportunity to donate furniture and accessories that will turn four walls into a real, warm and cozy place to live – says Wojciech Tokarz, Vice-President of the Management Board for Sales, Black Red White.

That is why the #DomZSerca project has been not only a help for a particular family from the very beginning, but also a kind of symbol. With a gesture of support, we prove that it is possible to design comfortable and functional spaces tailored to the needs of each family. In addition, by participating in the campaign, we want to inspire others to act in their surroundings.
