FBSerwis will modernize lighting in Sosnowiec

4 February this year. FBSerwis SA has signed a contract with the Municipality of Sosnowiec for the modernization of lamps and lighting poles in the Municipality. The gross value of the contract is over PLN 15.6 million.

The scope of work includes the replacement of 6071 lighting fixtures with protection and power cables for new LED luminaires and the replacement of 1572 concrete poles with 665 steel and 907 anodized aluminum poles. The task of FBSerwis is also to equip new luminaires with controllers integrated with the lighting control system, thanks to which the municipality can monitor and adjust the lighting intensity depending on the needs, increasing its efficiency at the same time. Before commencing work, FBSerwis is also required to create a lighting modernization project, including the preparation of technical and design documentation for each of the approximately 140 street lighting cabinets.

Thanks to the modernization of lighting, power consumption will be reduced by over 63% and total energy consumption will be reduced by about 75%, which will have a positive impact on lighting costs incurred by the Municipality. Thanks to the lower demand for electricity, the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by over 2.6 thousand tone per year, i.e . over 75%.

The contract is valid from the date of signing and is settled by the contracting authority in two phases: FBSerwis has 6 months to develop the project and 9 months to implement it.

FBSerwis has modernized over 20 thousand so far. points of light m. in. in the Bytom Commune, Warsaw, Kraków, Malbork, Sztum, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Andrychów and Słupsk. The company’s portfolio also includes contracts for ongoing maintenance and construction of street lighting with a telemetry layer.
