GIK has chosen Budimex’s offer

On 24 April 2014, the Municipality of the City of Gdańsk represented by Gdańskie Inwestycje Komunalne sp. z o.o. informed about the selection of Budimex’s bid for the reconstruction of the tram infrastructure in Gdańsk. The offer has a net value of PLN 53.3 million.

The scope of work includes:

• reconstruction of a double-track tram line on a section of 4.4 km in Siennicka and Lenartowicza Streets from ul. Elbląska Street to ul. Sucharskiego with the Przeróbka loop (tracks, turnouts, intersections, tram platforms);

• reconstruction of Siennicka and Lenartowicza streets along the reconstructed tram line along with infrastructure and adjacent street intersections;

• reconstruction of the overhead contact line and lighting;

• renovation of the tunnel of the passage under the tram tracks;

• renovation of the road flyover in ul. Siennicka Street and the bridge over the Martwa Wisła.

The completion of this investment is scheduled for the end of September 2015.
