The general contractor – the consortium of Budimex and Strabag – has started laying the concrete surface of the new A1 motorway on section A (Tuszyn – Piotrków Trybunalski).

Currently, about a kilometer of new pavement is already laid on a sixteen-kilometer section. The investor, i.e. the Łódź Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, plans to allow the current car traffic on the paved motorway by the end of this year. Completion of construction is planned for the end of the third quarter of 2021. Construction works began in April 2019.

The consortium of Budimex and Strabag is also implementing another section of the A1 construction – Kamieńsk – Radomsko. The progress of works on this section is 25%, and the completion of works is planned two months later than the Tuszyn – Piotrków section. The entire work on the A1 is divided into 5 sections with a total length of 81 km. The works carried out by the consortium of Budimex and Strabag cover 32 km of this route, i.e. nearly 40% of the length.
