On Thursday, November 24, the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of the sports and entertainment hall in Ziębice took place. The investment is to enable sports games in such disciplines as volleyball, basketball and handball. In addition, the hall will be used for training purposes, as well as for the organization of concerts and other artistic events.
The investment, which has been awaited for over 20 years, has significant significance for the Municipality of Ziębice and its residents, especially young people. The event was attended by m.in. Mariusz Szpilarewicz, Mayor of the Ziębice Commune. On the side of Budimex, Szymon Cienciała – District Director of Budimex S.A. Szymon Cienciała – was present on the side of Budimex.

The designed facility will be equipped with a photovoltaic installation – the panels will be located on the roof and façade of the building. The hall is also to have monitoring, audio-video installations with an LED screen, as well as an intelligent lighting system and stands – fixed and foldable telescopic. The contract value is PLN 40.7 million, Budimex has 24 months to implement the investment.
Budimex, as the largest Polish general contractor, specialises in large, innovative projects, m.in. in the area of cubature construction. In recent months , he has successfully completed the construction of the Silesian Planetarium in Chorzów, as well as the first stage of the construction of the “Polfa” Oncological Drugs Factory in Warsaw’s Tarchomin. Currently, Budimex is in the process of building m.in. PepsiCo’s largest production plant in Poland, which is being built in Środa Śląska.
