Logistics centre for Lidl wins CIJ Award

The Lidl Logistics Centre in Kałuszyn, developed by Budimex in 2018, won the prestigious CIJ Award in the category. Leading Green Warehouse Development. The award is granted by a 20-person jury from the retail, construction, hotel and logistics industries. The facility developed for Lidl was recognized as the best logistics facility in Poland in terms of environmental protection and sustainable development.

 

For 20 years, the award has been presented by the Commercial & Investment Journal Magazine, which is an opinion-forming medium on new projects, real estate, contracts and investment activities, as well as commentary and detailed market analysis, statistics and information on the latest trends in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe and in international development circles.

 

The centre completed for Lidl is another award-winning project of Budimex. Earlier this year, awards were also won by other building structures of Budimex

the Marki Education and Recreation Centre in Marki and the Nuctech Factory in Kobyłka.

 

Lidl’s logistics centre in Kałuszyn is the largest in Poland and the most innovative centre in Europe owned by Lidl.The facility on an area of approx. 28 thousand m2 has two storeys and a single-storey part (approx. 30 thousand m2) intended for high storage. The total usable area of the facility is approx. 58 thousand m2. On the first floor in the north-eastern part, there is an administrative and social space. The volume of the facility, amounting to 726 thousand. m3, is similar to the cubic capacity of the Palace of Culture and Science!
