Traffic difficulties

The modernization of the ring line in Warsaw is entering the next stage of implementation. Consortium of Budimex (Leader), STRABAG and ZUE m.in. will demolish 4 engineering structures. The first traffic difficulties will appear in the evening of May 26, Friday, in the vicinity of the Free Tibet Roundabout.

Kasprzaka closed

26 May this year at 10.00 p.m. there will be a complete closure of Kasprzaka Street at the intersection with Al. Primate of the Millennium. The detour is planned along Wolska Street and will last until May 29 this year. until 5 a.m.

Traffic difficulties on the section from Warszawa Zachodnia to Warszawa Gdańska will last until the end of November this year. and will include the following streets: Kasprzaka, Wolska, Górczewska – currently closed due to the construction of the metro, Obozowa. Information on traffic difficulties will appear on an ongoing basis on the website of the Public Transport Authority.

Scope of investment

As part of the modernization of the peripheral railway line, the Consortium will rebuild 8 platforms, 3 railway viaducts, an underground passage and 3 footbridges. In addition, it will replace the tracks over a length of 10.5 km and rebuild the overhead contact line with a length of over 14 km. Acoustic screens will be installed along the railway line, modern elevators will be built to provide convenient access to the platforms, and stops will be equipped with monitoring, which will increase the level of safety of travelers. The facilities will have new shelters, benches, lighting and signage and will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Thanks to better integration of rail transport with public transport, the modernization of platforms will improve the quality and comfort of travel, and the developed network of railway stops will significantly reduce the travel time of passengers to work or school.

The investment will be implemented under the EU instrument for financing infrastructure projects “Connecting Europe Facility” (CEF).
