S61 Stawiski – Szczuczyn. Traffic on new roadways, but with restrictions

Today, at noon, there will be a change in traffic organization on the section of the future S61 Stawiski – Szczuczyn expressway. The vehicles will be redirected to the already completed S61 roadways. This is a technical change in connection with the next stage of work. The speed limit will be 70 km/h. 

We appeal to drivers to comply with the speed limit and to exercise increased caution due to the works still being carried out and the possibility of local narrowing to one lane. 

The provision of a full cross-section of the S-class road and the removal of the speed limit to 70 km/h is planned for the turn of July and August,  together with the opening of the adjacent section of the S61 Kolno-Stawiski  . Then drivers will gain a total of almost 44 km of expressway from the Kolno junction, north of Łomża, to the end of the Szczuczyn bypass.
