Signing of a contract for the construction of the S6 expressway on the Leśnice – Bożepole Wielkie section

On On 29.07.2021, a contract was officially signed in connection with the selection  by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Gdańsk of Budimex S.A.’s bid as the most advantageous in the public procurement procedure for the construction of the S6 expressway on the Słupsk – Bożepole Wielkie section. Task 5: w. Leśnice (without the junction) – in. Bożepole Wielkie (without the junction).

The 22-kilometre section between Leśnice and Bożepole Wielkie will be a dual carriageway expressway, two lanes in each direction along with an emergency stop lane. It will also be a bypass of Lębork. The route includes the construction of the Lębork Południe,  Lębork Wschód, Łęczyce junctions and the extension of the Bożepole Wielkie junction. Thanks to the construction of the expressway, the travel time on this section of the S6 will be reduced by half, i.e. from the current 30 to approx. 15 minutes. The value of the offer is PLN 584,284,507.99 net, the deadline for completion of the works is 38 months from the date of conclusion of the contract.

This is the seventh road task currently carried out by us in Pomerania. Despite the demanding geological conditions for this location, we plan to complete the contract on time. This is how we end the vast majority of our road contracts” – said Artur Popko – President of Budimex SA during the signing of the contract. “We have already started design work to apply for the necessary permits and arrangements aimed at obtaining ZRiD as soon as possible” – adds Artur Popko.  

Budimex is also responsible for the construction of two other sections of the expressway in Pomerania. As part of the contract for the construction of the Luzino – Szemud section, Budimex is constructing a section of the S6 dual carriageway expressway with a length of over 10 km. In addition, 10 km of access and local streets and exits will be built to serve the area adjacent to the Kashubian Route.

In April this year. Budimex has also signed a contract for the construction of a 16-km section of the Tri-City Metropolitan Bypass. By 2024, a dual carriageway expressway will be built, with two lanes in each direction and  with a reserve for the third lane, the “Miszewo” and “Chwaszczyno” road junctions, the Miszewo road circuit, as well as m.in. 25 engineering structures.
