August 4, 2022 Budimex has signed a contract with the IT Centre of the Ministry of Finance for the expansion of the IT Centre of the Ministry of Finance in Radom. The investment is to secure the possibility of development and construction of further business services supported by IT tools and further centralization and consolidation of departmental systems.
At the request of the contracting authority – the IT Centre of the Ministry of Finance, as part of the investment, Budimex, as the General Contractor, will carry out, together with the design documentation, the construction of a technical building – server room consisting of a 1-storey technical part (which includes: technical rooms necessary for the proper operation of the server room and auxiliary rooms) and a 2-storey administrative and office part with equipment. The contract also includes the connection of the existing technical building with the new technical building, as well as the performance of land development works related to the construction of a new server room, as well as obtaining an occupancy permit.
The total usable area of the facility is approx. 5,510.00 m2, while the cubic capacity: 37,107.00 m3. The new development will be designed and implemented as the construction of a new CIRF building, located to the south-east of the existing facility.
A parking lot for approx. 36 parking spaces along with the construction of a charging station for hybrid cars, electric cars, bicycles and electric mopeds. A ground-mounted installation of photovoltaic modules with a minimum power of 150.00 kW will also be made.
The deadline for the completion of the works is 31 months from the date of conclusion of the contract. The server room, as an extension of the IT space, is to increase the computing power of the central IT infrastructure of the Ministry of Finance and serve to meet the growing needs in the area of progressive computerization of services and processes.
