The consortium of Budimex and Strabag will build the A1 motorway on the Tuszyn-Piotrków Trybunalski – Bełchatów section

The consortium  of Budimex and Strabag has signed a contract for the construction of an important section of the A1 motorway with the Directorate for National Roads and Motorways with the participation of the Minister of Infrastructure, Andrzej Adamczyk. The investment will result in the creation of a road communication route connecting the Tri-City with the Czech Republic. On the new section of the A1 motorway, drivers will also gain new exits, m.in. from  the direction of Łódź towards Warsaw. The value of the project is PLN 389 million. net. “In two weeks, we want to submit a construction concept,” announces Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board of Budimex.

The Tuszyn-Piotrków Trybunalski section is the first of four in the Łódź Voivodeship that have been left to be implemented. Its length is approx. 16 km. The investment is to be ready within 32 months. It will be built in the wake of the currently existing road. A concrete surface will be a novelty. After the works are carried out, drivers will have two lanes in each direction with two carriageways and an emergency lane at their disposal. In addition, from the “Piotrków Trybunalski Zachód”  junction, they will gain an exit from Łódź towards Warsaw and  from Warsaw towards Łódź. The contract amounts to almost PLN 389 million, and the warranty period is from 5 to 10 years.

We did not sleep through the period of preparation for signing the contract. Quite the opposite. We used it very intensively. For approx. We would like to submit the construction concept two weeks ago. We hope for its quick acceptance – says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board of Budimex S.A.

The motorway is also part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the “Gdansk – Brno / Bratislava – Vienna Motorway” project.
