On 16 April 2026, the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone together with the foundation act inaugurated the next stage of the investment carried out by Budimex SA. The modern police complex in Ostróda will significantly improve the working conditions of officers and the safety of the region’s residents. The value of the investment is nearly PLN 40 million.
On April 16, 2026, in Ostróda, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, a ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone along with the foundation act for the construction of the new headquarters of the District Police Headquarters at Gizewiusza Street. The event was attended by representatives of the investor and the general contractor – Budimex SA, as well as the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship Radosław Król, the Deputy Mayor of Ostróda Jolanta Gadomska and the Starost of Ostróda Andrzej Wiczkowski.
The contract for the implementation of the investment was signed on November 5, 2024. The project, implemented in the “design and build” formula, includes the construction of a modern police complex, which will replace the current headquarters at Handlowa Street. The new infrastructure will respond to the current needs of the Police and enable further development of the unit.
“The laying of the foundation stone is a symbolic moment that shows that the investment is taking real shape and entering the next, advanced phase. The implementation of this type of facilities, adapted to the realities of the work of uniformed services, requires not only executive experience, but also very good organization of the construction process and close cooperation with the investor. At Budimex, we attach great importance to quality and timeliness, which is why we consistently carry out the next stages of work in accordance with the adopted schedule,” says Mariusz Hurylski, Branch Director of Budimex SA.
As part of the investment, an administrative and office building with an area of nearly 2000 m² will be built, in which a total of 156 officers and civilian employees will be able to perform duty. The complex will be equipped with modern installations, including a photovoltaic installation. The scope of work also includes the construction of an indoor shooting range, garages with a hangar for a police boat and a parking lot with charging stations for electric vehicles.
Currently, the investment is at the stage of construction of the above-ground structure. The foundation works have been completed, and the masonry of the ground floor walls is currently being carried out. The building is being built in traditional, reinforced concrete masonry technology.
For years, Budimex SA has been implementing cubature investments of significant social importance, including facilities for administration and uniformed services, contributing to improving the quality of infrastructure throughout Poland.
