The social initiative #niezwalniajmy was awarded in the XXIII edition of the “Benefactor of the Year” competition. In June, Budimex, the leader in the construction market, which employs over 7 thousand people, became a participant in the campaign.
In this year’s edition of the “Benefactor of the Year” competition, 11 winners were selected – companies that implemented the most interesting social projects in 2019. The jury decided to award 6 additional distinctions in the category “Socially engaged in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic”.
#Niezwalniajmy is an action promoting and supporting activities aimed at protecting as many jobs as possible. Since mid-April, nearly 50 companies have joined the initiative, declaring that if they need to reduce costs due to an unfavorable financial situation, they will first reduce expenses other than those related to employment. Budimex was the first large company to join the programme.
– Our goal when joining the #niezwalniajmy campaign was to maintain the current level of employment and ensure continuity of work for our employees. So far, we have been able to fulfill this mission, because the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic have so far had a small impact on the construction industry. We continue our activities and continue to sign new contracts – says Cezary Mączka, Member of the Management Board, Director of Human Resources Management at Budimex SA.
“The essence of the project is also to draw attention to the importance of interpersonal cooperation and solidarity for everyone in this difficult moment, where both employers can count on their employees and vice versa,” adds Cezary Mączka.
Budimex is a reliable and stable employer that is constantly expanding its team of construction specialists and engineers. In the first quarter of 2020. It has hired more than 100 people and expects to hire a total of around 500 employees this year.
