The Strabag-Budimex-Budpol consortium begins works on the A1 – Częstochowa bypass section

On 24.07.2019. an agreement was concluded between the consortium composed of: STRABAG Infrastruktura Południe Sp. z o.o. (Leader 45%), Budimex S.A. (Partner 45%), Budpol Sp. z o.o. (Partner 10%) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Katowice, for “Continuation of works related to the construction of the A1 motorway on the section Rząsawa junction – Blachownia junction in the scope of security works”. Construction works will begin within 14 days.

The contract, due to the deadline for the completion of the works, will require the involvement of a large amount of equipment and resources
and their appropriate coordination, which is a major logistical challenge. A total of over 300 people and over 100 units of construction equipment will work on the construction site.

Contract value: PLN 353,173,163.55 net

Date of commencement of works: date of conclusion of the contract

Completion date: 15.11.2019

Warranty period: Cement concrete surfaces – in accordance with the Contractor’s offer, i.e. 5 years

Warranty period: 60 months from the date indicated in the Takeover Certificate

Budimex is also currently constructing two other sections of the A1 motorway: Tuszyn – Piotrków and A1 Kamieńsk – Radomsko.
