Budimex has signed a contract with the Lublin branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the design and construction of the S17 Tomaszów Lubelski – Hrebenne section.
The subject of the contract is the design and construction of the S17 expressway located in the Lublin Voivodeship , in the Tomaszów County, in the municipalities of Tomaszów Lubelski, Bełżec and Lubycza Królewska
.
The works will start behind the Tomaszów Lubelski Południe junction, where the route will cross the current national road and run on its western side. It will bypass Lubycza Królewska and will continue in the corridor of the current DK17. The section is scheduled to end at the connection to the existing Hrebenne bypass.
As part of the project, we will perform:
- construction of an expressway with a length of about 17.3 km,
- road junction – “Bełżec” allowing communication with road No. 17,
- construction of additional roadways, located in the right-of-way of the expressway,
- construction and reconstruction of infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists,
- hardening of the area for maintenance purposes,
- engineering structures along the expressway and in the line of roads crossing the expressway,
- land drainage system,
- environmental protection devices, including: acoustic screens, animal crossings, ecological culverts, greenery, expressway fences, anti-glare screens,
- infrastructure for the needs of facilities along the expressway located along the expressway, including: power supply and lighting networks, water supply networks, sewage treatment networks and devices, rainwater drainage with pre-treatment devices and others,
- reconstruction of conflicting equipment and networks of the existing underground and above-ground infrastructure,
- demolition of buildings and structures, demolition of road elements, culverts and others,
- telecommunication network,
- road lighting,
- traffic organization,
- traffic management system,
- relocation or reconstruction of river and watercourse beds.

- Viaduct along the expressway – 7 structures
- Road viaducts over the expressway – 2 structures
- Ecological crossings – for large animals – 3 objects
- Ecological crossings – for medium-sized animals – 2 objects
Investment value: PLN 598,268,790 gross (PLN 486,397,390 net)
Implementation time: 36 months , not including winters during the period of execution of works
Date of commencement of works: from the date of signing the contract
Completion date: July 2026 .
