The contract included the performance of construction works to modernize railway line No. 9 on the section from km 184 + 800 to km 236 + 920, within the area of the Local Control Center (LCS) in Iława.

As part of the project, we carried out works including a complete replacement of the track surface with turnouts, replacement of the overhead contact line, comprehensive works to strengthen the subgrade, a new drainage system and trackside infrastructure were made. We have also built a system of roads and two-level intersections, 14 railway viaducts, 10 road viaducts and 9 pedestrian crossings have been built. We have modernized the platform infrastructure, at the same time adapting it to the needs of people with disabilities. We have launched a new computer system for controlling train traffic as part of LCS Iława. After the reconstruction, trains on the modernized section can travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h.
