LK7 Pilawa – Dęblin
The works were carried out as part of the consortium of Mostostal Kraków SA (leader), PKP Energetyki SA and Schweerbau GmbH. The works consisted in the reconstruction and modernization of the railway line No. 7 Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa – Dorohusk, on the Pilawa – Dęblin section, from km 55,600 to km 107,283. We started the works in 2017 with the reconstruction of track No. 2 on the Pilawa – Garwolin route, where passenger traffic was carried out on a single track. As part of the contract, we rebuilt tracks No. 1 and 2 on the Garwolin – Dęblin route, completely closing the railway line for the duration of the works. The Dęblin station is the largest station on the modernized section and has been completely rebuilt as part of the works. For the duration of the works, replacement bus transport was introduced. The total length of the modernized section of line No. 7 is about 52 km.
The scope of our work included: reconstruction of 120 km of tracks with subgrade and drainage, reconstruction and construction of new platform infrastructure adapted for the disabled at the following stations: Garwolin, Łaskarzew Towarowy, Sobolew, Życzyn and Dęblin, and construction of 106 new turnouts. As part of the project, a comprehensive reconstruction of the traction network, reconstruction of the network and equipment of the railway power industry was also carried out. We also modernized 17 railway crossings, rebuilt and built 53 engineering structures (17 bridges, 2 viaducts, 30 culverts and 4 passages under the tracks) and built – at the Dęblin station – the largest three-span steel railway bridge on this project, with a length of 159.6 m.
We have built 5 signal boxes at the following stations: Garwolin, Łaskarzew, Sobolew, Życzyn, Dęblin and LCS Dęblin, as well as 78 km of roads, as well as we have built/rebuilt a rainwater drainage system, water supply network, sanitary sewage system and gas networks. Thanks to the hard work of our team, the contract was completed within the deadlines planned with the investor and since December 2019 trains have been running on the Pilawa – Dęblin section on both tracks, and passengers have modern infrastructure at their disposal.
