As part of the investment, a runway was built. It consists of: a cement concrete runway with a width of 45 metres and a length of 3,200 metres (400 metres longer than the current one), runway bands with a surface made of mineral and asphalt mixtures measuring 2 m by 7.5 m, blow-off planes, taxiways (marked with the letters L, N, R, S, T, M) and technical roads, technical infrastructure and lighting. The new road has also been equipped with light and radio navigation aids, thanks to which it will be possible to receive aircraft with a visibility along the road of not less than 300 meters and a vertical visibility of not less than 30 meters (so far it was 800 meters and 60 meters, respectively). The Ice Alert system will inform airport services about ice on the surface.
