The investment area has been divided into five parts. Area “A” included: construction of an underground garage, pavilions and an exit to the underground garage, as well as reconstruction of the existing entrance for emergency vehicles and an intersection. Area “B” – reconstruction and expansion of the historic building of the Main Railway Station. Area “C” – reconstruction and expansion of platform halls and reconstruction of railway infrastructure and underground passages. Area “D” – construction of the station pavilion. Area “F” – reconstruction of technical and road infrastructure. As part of the works, a comprehensive modernization of the underground infrastructure was also carried out, solar collectors were installed on the roof and the building was adapted to serve the disabled. The total net value of the project is PLN 274 million.
