Pro-ecological solutions have appeared at the Siekierki CHP Plant. Working in a consortium with Andritz AG, we were responsible for their construction. In accordance with the project assumptions, we installed a catalytic denitrification (SCR) installation and modernized the semi-dry desulphurization installation for the coal-fired K2 boiler type OP 230. All this allowed for the reduction of nitrogen oxides 3 in the flue gas to the level of ?100 mg/Nm and the reduction of sulphur oxides to the level of 3 ?100 mg/Nm for the maximum flue gas stream of 3 approx. 250,000 Nm /h.

The scope of the contract included design works, supply of equipment, assembly and commissioning of the following technological and auxiliary systems:

  • flue gas duct system
  • SCR reactor system
  • ammonia water dosing system
  • draught fans
  • Rotary Air Preheater (Upgrade)
  • semi-dry flue gas desulphurization installation (modernization)
  • electrical installations, including power supply systems for draught fans
  • control and measurement system with CEMS
  • ventilation and air conditioning system for electrical rooms

along with the necessary construction work, including equipment foundations and supporting structures.
