The expansion and modernization of the Wrocław Wastewater Treatment Plant was a priority investment of the city of Wrocław in the field of wastewater management. It was of strategic importance for improving the natural environment in the Oder basin, and subsequently in its receiver – the Baltic Sea. The capacity of the treatment plant was increased from a flow of about 70 thousand. m³, to about 140 thousand. m³ of wastewater per day. As part of the investment, divided into two stages and four tasks, 34 new facilities, networks and elements of underground utilities as well as the necessary road infrastructure and land development were completed. The modernization and expansion of the treatment plant consisted in adapting the existing facilities of the mechanical part to the increased capacity of the treatment plant and equipping it with additional equipment. The Wrocław Sewage Treatment Plant was the winner of the 10th edition of the “Lower Silesian Construction of the Year” in the category of “Civil Engineering Buildings” in 2013. and Construction of the Year 2012″ in the category “Sewage Treatment Plants”. The building area is 49 thousand. m2. The entire work was completed within 33 months. The net value of the project amounted to PLN 289 million.
